Rare Crestline Skyliner with Transparent Roof Panel, V-8, Auto, Vintage A/C
This new arrival is expected to complete its Inspection & routine maintenance, photos, and video process in 1 - 2 weeks. In the meantime, it is available for inspection. Vehicles become eligible for a 72-hour hold with deposit after any needed reconditioning services are completed.
This is the very rare Skyliner model – made one year only with just 13,144 produced. The Skyliner was Ford's highest level trim and featured the first production transparent acrylic roof panel that was tinted and allowed more light in the passenger compartment and offered unprecedented panoramic views for passengers. It was a trendsetter in other ways too. Most notably, it showcased Ford's new overhead valve V-8, in showrooms a full year ahead of Chevrolet's OHV V-8.
• 239 cubic inch V-8
• Ford-O-Matic 3-Speed Automatic Transmission
• Vintage A/C and Heat
• AM Radio
• Clock
• Full Wheel Covers
This car is perfect for the enthusiast who wants to drive a highly collectible car with classic '50's styling, while finishing it and giving it their own personal touches. Nice-driving and highly original makes this a great ride for a car buff who wants a lighter project that can be enjoyed while tinkering with it.
